Representatives of the Association EPEKA, a social enterprise, will attend the Day FOR Social Economy event.
Day FOR Social Economy is the main annual event, intended for social economy organizations, students, the support environment and all those who believe that socially responsible entrepreneurship is the entrepreneurship of the future.
At the event, we will present key policies and measures to promote the development of the social economy, highlight good practices of Slovenian social enterprises and cooperatives, and discuss the challenges and opportunities of social enterprises, the potential of cooperatives and the support of educational institutions to the social economy in Slovenia.
The event will be opened by Mr. Matevž Frangež, State Secretary at the Ministry of the Economy, Tourism and Sports. Participants will be able to obtain current information about the Public Works Program 2026, Learning Workshops Plus, the Youth Transition project and meet representatives of supporting institutions, such as DOBA Faculty, SPOT Consulting of the Central Slovenian Region, the Employment Service of the Republic of Slovenia, the Chamber of Agriculture and Forestry and the Knowledge Transfer Office of the University of Ljubljana.
A relaxed conversation (open café) about education and research in the social economy will take place in the lobby of the City Museum, open to the participation of all participants. Social enterprises will provide a pleasant atmosphere with cultural and sound scenery and sustainable refreshments. The event is accessible to people with disabilities.
