Združenje EPEKA, so. p., is participating in the international project: Emerging Advanced Skills Youth.

The project “Emerging Advanced Skills Youth” focuses on improving employability and talent development among disadvantaged youth in rural and socially vulnerable environments. With innovative skills, we aim to help young people gain decent employment and overcome skill mismatches according to labor market needs. We are also striving to strengthen the role of disadvantaged youth in their integration into social and economic life.

Project Objectives

1. Strengthening youth workers and educators: We provide frameworks, training, and advice to strengthen youth organizations.

2. Increasing youth employability: Through sustainable skill-building and capacity development, we will help young people acquire key skills for decent employment.

Target Participants

Youth: Youth aged 16 to 28 from rural areas, NEETs, migrants, refugees, and those who have dropped out of school early.

Decision-makers: Preparing recommendations for decision-makers regarding improving employment opportunities for youth.

Expected Outcomes

  • White Paper: Comprehensive research and cross-border statistics on youth unemployment.
  • Employability Guide: Strategies for job search, career counseling, and skill development for disadvantaged youth.
  • Toolbox for youth workers: Training and workshops to bridge the skills gap.
  • Policy Recommendations: Recommendations stemming from pilot projects and workshops addressing youth employment challenges.

Workshops and Activities

  • Employment Pathway: Research on youth unemployment, trends, and challenges with recommendations for improvements.
  • Capacity building for youth workers: Tools and training for job readiness, including mock interviews, resume suggestions, and practical guides.
  • Skills Academy for Youth: E-learning portal and international camp for 30 participants focused on 10 key employability skills.
  • Local training series: 3-5 day workshops where 20 young people from each partner region acquire employability skills.
