The first set of workshops on housing cooperatives will conclude with a joint workshop, which will also be led by architect and lecturer Urban Žunko. Do you have a vision of community living, but you don’t know where to start? The idea of a housing cooperative is only the first step. In order for this vision to become a real housing project, you need the right team, a solid financial model and a clear organizational plan.
We invite you to an intensive practical workshop “From Idea to Project”, where we will walk the path from the initial idea to the concrete draft of the cooperative neighborhood under professional guidance.
What are we going to do at the workshop?
The workshop is designed in a very practical way, so we will focus on four key phases:
- Forming groups: It all starts with people. You will meet like-minded people with whom you share values and learn how to establish a solid and cohesive core of the future cooperative.
- Drafting a Housing Cooperative: With the help of templates, we will draft a charter and a basic vision for your project, which will serve as the “constitution” of your future community.
- Financial and organizational model: You will learn how to set up a realistic financial plan – from collecting your own inputs to finding external sources of financing and creating management rules.
- Presentation of projects and discussion: Each group will present its draft in front of other participants and experts. This is a valuable opportunity for constructive criticism, exchange of experiences and networking.
The workshop is ideal for individuals and groups who already have a developed idea, as well as for those who are just exploring the possibilities of cooperative living and want to gain practical knowledge first-hand. Cooperatives require courage and cooperation. The workshop will give you the tools to confidently stand in front of municipal authorities, banks and investors in the future.
