March 7-9, 2025
Hippodrome, Šentjernej
The Association EPEKA, a social enterprise, will participate in one of the largest spring agricultural and food fairs in Slovenia—the Gregorjevo Fair in Šentjernej—together with the Roma herbalist association ROMANCO–RMAN.
At the fair, EPEKA will present projects focused on a sustainable future, social inclusion, and raising awareness about the importance of protecting the environment. Among the topics presented, the importance of cooperation with local communities, education about an eco-friendly lifestyle, and opportunities for volunteer work and networking will be highlighted.
The Romanco–Rman Herbal Society will be selling products they make themselves at the fair: teas, spices, mushrooms, etc. Come and buy some.
The Romanco-Rman Herbal Society was founded in December 2021 with the aim of raising awareness and reviving knowledge about medicinal plants, which has been passed down from generation to generation in the Roma community. We operate as a non-profit organization that organizes herbal workshops for children and adults with a love of nature and tradition. To date, we have held more than 100 workshops to promote outdoor activities, environmental conservation, and the transfer of valuable knowledge.
The EPEKA programme is co-financed by: the Office of the Republic of Slovenia for Youth, the Municipality of Maribor, Erasmus+, and the Ministry of Public Administration. Other partners also contribute to its implementation and provide additional support for the programme.
