The Association EPEKA will also be holding a cycle of workshops, lectures and discussions in 2025 as part of the program Living Problems of Youth or Youth Autonomy.

The purpose of the entire program will be to facilitate the transition of young people to adulthood by empowering them to be independent in the area of housing. The meetings will be aimed at gaining knowledge, exchanging experiences and understanding the key challenges that young people face in becoming independent. Through a variety of content, we will provide young people with insight into practical procedures, financial aspects, alternative options and the broader social contexts of housing conditions.

At the workshop How to Create Financial Security, we will present tools and strategies that enable more stable management of personal finances. Participants will learn the importance of savings reserves and ways to gradually create a financial protection fund with small steps. We will discuss the differences between short-term and long-term planning and how to set realistic financial goals. We will present practical approaches to managing expenses and review the possibilities of additional earnings and savings. We will also discuss the importance of insurance, pension schemes and other financial products that can reduce risks in periods of instability. Participants will receive guidelines for creating their personal budget and an overview of the costs that they must consider when becoming independent. The purpose of the workshop is to encourage young people to make thoughtful financial decisions and long-term stability.

Due to the limited number of places, we ask you to register in advance at epeka@epeka.si or in person. The activity is co-financed by the City of Maribor and the Slovenian Youth Office.
