The Association EPEKA, Soc. Ent., will also be holding a cycle of workshops, lectures and discussions in 2025 as part of the program Living Problems of Youth or Youth Autonomy.

The purpose of the entire program will be to facilitate the transition to adult life for young people, also by empowering them to be independent in the area of ​​housing. The meetings will be aimed at gaining knowledge, exchanging experiences and understanding the key challenges that young people face in becoming independent. Through a variety of content, we will provide young people with insight into practical procedures, financial aspects, alternative options and the broader social contexts of housing conditions.

At the workshop How to Get Your First Rental, we will guide participants through the key steps of finding a suitable apartment. We will present how to review advertisements and identify risk elements that occur in practice. Participants will learn what questions to ask the landlord and how to check the actual condition of the property. We will explain the specifics of rental contracts and highlight the most common mistakes when concluding them. We will discuss the rights and obligations of tenants, deposits and additional costs that accompany the rental. In the practical part, participants will analyze specific examples of advertisements and create their own plan for a safe rental. Finally, we will highlight the most important steps for successful and safe independence in the field of housing.
