Online lecture

The Association EPEKA, Soc. Ent., and ESZ EPEKA, SCE, will participate in a lecture on energy poverty and the role that the points of single contact can play in reducing it and supporting the renovation of energy-poor households.

Energy poverty in households is a visible reality that can no longer be ignored. Energy-poor households have difficulty heating or cooling their homes or paying their energy bills.

More and more OOs are adapting their activities to this specific target group. At this winter meeting of the transnational EU Peers Community, we will be working with two European one-stop shops, REVERTER and EcoVision, which support energy-poor households to renovate their buildings or homes.

But before we listen to them, we think it is crucial to start with the basics: what is energy poverty? What can we do? How?

To answer these questions, we invited the Energy Poverty Advisory Hub to kick off the meeting and share with us some key insights and knowledge on the causes of energy poverty and how we can fight them.

But we must not stop there! How can we be 100% sure that the One-Stop-Shop is actually addressing the needs of energy poor households? We will listen: Stop à l’exclusion énergétique .

The Association EPEKA, Soc. Ent., continues its activities within the project EPEKA – Housing Cooperative for All. The solution we are addressing in this project is tackling the housing issue through cooperative housing. Housing cooperatives already offer a suitable approach to resolving the housing crisis, as they exist in numerous cities and regions across Europe. These cooperatives come in various forms and sizes—some consist of just one building that is collectively owned by a group of people.
