The Association EPEKA, a social enterprise within the EPEKA Housing Co-operative for All project, organises lectures for prospective and potential co-operators.
Housing associations are a tool for building an inclusive society that brings together people of different incomes, ethnic backgrounds, ages and abilities/disabilities. Housing cooperatives have been shown to bring benefits to their members: poverty reduction, physical, material and emotional support, social inclusion, increased social capital, safer communities, organisational experience, skills building, networking and political mobilisation. The EU recognises gender equality as a key driver of sustainable transition and inclusive growth in its regions and considers that equality of economic opportunity for women and men is a key element of a modern, well-functioning market economy and essential for sustainable growth. The project will work with future cooperators to build such a community.
EPEKA – Housing Cooperative for All is implemented with the support of the Ministry of Economy, Tourism and Sport, within the Public Call for Proposals for the Promotion of the Development of Cooperative and Social Economy Projects 2023-2024.
