From 2 to 8 September 2015, the Association EPEKA, Soc. Ent., as a partner organisation, will participate in the My Role as a Global Citizen youth training in Minsk, Belarus. The international project will bring together 5 young participants each from Slovenia, Italy, Czech Republic, Georgia, Hungary and Belarus.

Activities will highlight the main idea of global citizenship, its positive and negative sides, and discuss the world’s future with globalisation so strong.

Objectives of the youth exchange:

  • To gather youth workers and leaders and raise their awareness of global citizenship.
  • To give young people the opportunity to meet new people, share their ideas and
    to help them see and experience how global citizenship works.
  • To give young people the opportunity to learn to respect differences in a way that preserves their individuality.
  • To examine and learn from previous experiences to better understand each other’s visions, ideas and practices.
  • To help young people broaden their understanding of global citizenship, how it works and how it should be established.

Age limit of participants: 18-35 years
Working language is English.

The costs of accommodation, meals and the programme are covered by the activity organiser or the host organisation. The part of the travel costs reimbursed per participant (275 €) from Slovenia is determined according to the distance, which can be checked here: http://ec.europa.eu/programmes/erasmus-plus/tools/distance_en.htm
