The NIJZ is investigating a cluster of related cases of COVID-19 infection among emergency physicians of the Dr Adolf Drolc Maribor Health Centre and the University Medical Centre Maribor.

Notice from the NIJZ:

All patients and their companions who visited the Urgent Care Centre in the premises of the UKC Maribor on Friday 26 June between 7 am and 7 pm, on Sunday 28 June between 7 am and 7 pm and on Monday 29 June between 7 am and 4 pm are kindly requested to visit the Urgent Care Centre in the premises of the UKC Maribor on Friday 26 June between 7 am and 7 pm, on Sunday 28 June between 7 am and 7 pm and on Monday 29 June between 7 am and 4 pm. Please observe your health during the next 14 days and in case of signs of an acute respiratory infection (runny nose, cough, sore throat, fever, muscle aches, etc.), please call your personal doctor first by phone. It is important that, in addition to a description of the medical condition, the visit to the emergency centre at the UKC Maribor during this period is also mentioned.

The likelihood of patients and their companions becoming infected during a visit to the emergency centre is extremely low, as healthcare staff consistently use personal protective equipment when interacting with patients.
