The EPEKA Association will also provide a cycle of workshops, lectures and discussions in 2025 as part of the program Living Problems of Youth or Youth Autonomy.
The purpose of the entire program will be to facilitate the transition to adult life for young people, also by empowering them to be independent in the area of housing. The meetings will be aimed at gaining knowledge, exchanging experiences and understanding the challenges that young people face in becoming independent. Through a variety of content, we will provide young people with insight into practical procedures, financial aspects, alternative options and the broader social contexts of housing conditions.
At the workshop Organizing a Shared Household, we will present participants with ways to effectively manage shared living. Participants will learn how to plan for sharing costs and set clear rules for living together. We will analyze the most common causes of disputes between roommates and discuss solutions to prevent conflicts. We will present tools for organizing household chores, distributing responsibilities, and maintaining cleanliness. We will also discuss the importance of communication and respecting privacy within shared living. Participants will receive concrete examples of good practices and sample agreements that improve the quality of life in a community. The workshop will emphasize the importance of clear agreements and cooperation that enable harmonious and stable shared living.
Due to the limited number of places, we ask you to register in advance at epeka@epeka.si or in person. The activity is co-financed by the City of Maribor and the Slovenian Youth Office.
