On Tuesday, 14 June 2016, Štefan Simončič, President of the Association EPEKA, Soc. Ent., attended the closing of the second round of cooperation and employee exchanges between the state administration and companies, organised by AmCham Slovenia.
The second round of Partnerships for Change ended with a closing event. In addition to the exchange of ideas and experiences between corporate and ministry staff, this round also brought innovative solutions to 5 selected challenges. Both the direct participants and the observers are enthusiastic about the programme, and after a successful pilot project last year and an upgraded programme this season, the third round of the Partnership for Change programme, a collaboration between AmCham Slovenia and the Ministry of Public Administration, is now on the horizon.

During the year, participants have been solving concrete challenges in public administration and economy in interactive workshops, and last week they changed their work environment and went on 5-day exchanges. At the final event, five groups presented their solutions to the challenges.

Dr. Miro Cerar, Prime Minister of the Republic of Slovenia, visibly impressed by the presentations, pointed out that “I will strive as Prime Minister, together with the ministers, the staff who will follow me and all of you, citizens, to make the Partnership for Change or Partnership for the Future a model for our coexistence and action in Slovenia. With value content, with people at the heart and at the forefront. What I have seen today is proof that this is one of the most innovative and promising projects that business and government are taking together.”
