Representative of the EPEKA Association, Soc. Ent., attended an online conference on the social economy and Roma inclusion during the COVID-19 pandemic. The conference addressed how Europe is facing the social and economic shock caused by devastating effects of the coronavirus.
Since 2012, the Association EPEKA, Soc. Ent., has been active in the field of social entrepreneurship. We are mostly active in the field of inclusion of Roma in the social entrepreneurship and then on in the labour market, because they have been excluded for a while and mostly recipients of social financial support.
The representatives of the Association EPEKA, Soc. Ent., will attend a conference “Inclusive employability and entrepreneurship youth work for sustainable future”. The conference will take place in Berlin between 14th and 22nd March 2020.
The Association EPEKA, so. p., with the support of Ministry of External Affairs Montenegro, started implementing a project of international development cooperation “Economic and Social Empowerment of Roma and Egyptian Women in Berane” (ESORE). Project will be carried out together with a Slovenian Youth Cooperative EPEKA, Soc. Ent., and with the partners from Montenegro – Pedagogic Center of Montenegro, Association Human – Rrom and EPEKA Montenegro.
In the Association EPEKA, Soc. Ent., we were glad to accept an invitation to attend the international conference Combating social marginalization and exlcusion in the Danube region, to which we were invited by the Romanian Ministry of Labor and Social Justice. In the conference we held the presentation of the social entrepreneurship ROMANI KAFENAVA.
The Association EPEKA, Soc. Ent., in cooperation with the Society for Support of Young Roma successfully applied for tender Volunteering for Inclusion. This tender will partially cover the expenses for two workplaces, by which we want to accelerate intercultural and transgenerational cooperation in Roma community.
The Association EPEKA, Soc. Ent., invites you to closing conference of the project Fair Employment – Youth with Fewer Opportunities with Youth Work to Employment. The conference will take place on 11th and 12th September in the Autonomous Cultural Center Metelkova and Autonomous Factory Rog in Ljubljana.
Representatives of the Association EPEKA, Soc. Ent., will take part in the opening event of the program European Solidarity Corps. The event is organized by the Slovenian National Agency MOVIT, on 6th September 2018 in the European Union House, on Dunajska cesta 20 in the Exhibition and Convention Center (Gospodarsko razstavišče) in Ljubljana.
