Representatives of the Association EPEKA, Soc. Ent., presented proposals to promote equality and fight racism, xenophobia and discrimination in the framework of the PRESS project.

As part of the project Promoting equality for Roma in Slovenia and Slovakia – PRESS, we presented yesterday in Košice, Slovakia, a report entitled Equality and justice on the sidelines: a comparative report on discrimination against Roma and their access to justice in Slovakia and Slovenia.

The report provides an overview of the current extent of discrimination against Roma – including women, their life experiences and access to justice in Slovakia and Slovenia. It is based on a combination of desk research and empirical study, through a series of semi-structured interviews conducted with various stakeholders in both countries.
