Štefan Simončič, President of EPEKA, Soc. Ent. , held a lecture at the Human Rights Webinar for the Romani People, where he presented his contribution entitled The Current Situation of Roma in Slovenia.

The organisers of the event wrote: “Roma still suffer from social discrimination and prejudice today, often based on a lack of knowledge, and we invite organisations from all over Europe to join us in advocating for equality and tolerance towards Roma. We are organising a debate on the supportive measures taken by individual governments, the opportunities for improvement and the contributions that Roma themselves can make.

The event was organised by Heavenly Culture, World Peace, Restoration of Light (HWPL), an international peace organisation founded to secure world peace and end wars. It is a non-governmental organisation with special consultative status with the UN Economic and Social Council (ECOSOC) and registered with the Department of Global Communications (UNDGC).
