On Wednesday, 10 June 2026,  the Spring National Meeting of the Youth Sector 2026 was held at the Sevnica Sports Centre, which brought together key players in the field of youth work under the slogan “Connected, Active and Creative”. The event, organized with the aim of strengthening existing connections and establishing new collaborations, served with a rich professional and connecting program.

The central point of the meeting was the premiere of the presentation of the latest research on youth work and the sector in Slovenia. A research consortium of faculties (the University of Primorska, the University of Maribor and the University of Ljubljana) presented the key results of research on the presence of youth work, funding at the local level and the status of youth workers in Slovenia to the professional public.

The professional part of the programme addressed the current challenges of contemporary youth. Representatives of the Vozim Institute, the Logout Institute and the startup PsyBit presented examples of useful solutions and approaches to support young people in the demanding modern world.

In addition to professional work, participants had the opportunity for informal socializing and team cooperation through various activities:

  • Cultural creativity: Creating a group artwork under the mentorship of a local artist.
  • Sports and recreation: Fun sports games and mini competition.
  • Local experience: Tasting of local wines in the castle vineyard.
  • Competitiveness: “Brain challenge” or team competition in knowledge.

The meeting confirmed the importance of informal networking as a key element for co-creating the future of the youth sector.
