Representatives of the Association EPEKA, Soc. Ent., took part in the final event of the Sustainable Development Through Sports – Final Event.

The aim of the final event is to find out how sport is perceived as a factor to promote further participation for sustainable lifestyles. The Sustainable Development through Sport project is coming to an end. The project consortium consists of organisations from Turkey, France, North Macedonia and Slovenia. The organisations are; – Istanbul Cultural and Sports Association (Coordinating Organisation) – Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality Sport Istanbul (Partner Organisation) – INTERCULTURA Association (Partner Organisation) – CEFE Macedonia (Partner Organisation) – Povod Institute for Culture and Development of International Relations in Culture (Partner Organisation). The aim of the project was to develop key competences and increase knowledge on the SDGs of UN adult educators/trainers and to create inclusive spaces that recognise the potential of people who are NEET and identify as women from the age group (18-34 years).

  • 10.30 to 11.00: Check-in and coffee
  • 11.00 to 11.15: Welcome – Robert Križanič, Director of Povod.
  • 11.15 to 11.30: Presentation of the Sustainable Development through Sport Programme – Mehmet Volkan MÜDERRİSOĞLU, representative of IKOS Istanbul Cultural and Sports Association.
  • 11.30 to 11.45: Presentation and discussion of the “Innovative Toolkit through Sport for Interpersonal Skills Development and Civic Engagement” – Samar Zughool, Experiential Coach and Project Coordinator.
  • 11.45 to 12.00: The link between sport and sustainable development – Primož Ulaga, former ski jumper and world-class athlete.
  • 12.00 to 12.30: Public discussion and closing
  • 12.30 to 12.45: Break.
  • 12.45 to 13.30: Parallel workshops: in action sports for interpersonal skills development and civic engagement.
