Representatives of the Association EPEKA, a social enterprise, will attend the official launch of the Forum of Shared Green Societies.
Across Europe, there is a growing demand for a green transition that is inclusive, just and supported by people. Communities, governments, civil society and social sciences and humanities (SSH) researchers innovate every day, but too often they work in isolation. Building shared understanding is key to connecting technological and policy opportunities with equity concerns, while responding to the growing pressure to act.
Shared Green Societies is a new European forum designed to bridge this gap – connecting evidence, practice and policy, and bringing together leaders on the ground with those shaping ideas and strategies.
The launch event will bring together civil society, researchers, local and regional actors and policymakers from across Europe to co-create the next steps of the forum. The forum will support community-led initiatives and help ensure a green transition that is just, inclusive and strongly supported by citizens.
