President of the Association EPEKA, Soc. Ent., Štefan Simončič will hold a lecture at the international expert seminar Transition from Education to Employment for Roma Youth. Seminar will take place on 25th and 26th September on Brijuni Islands, Croatia.

Štefan Simončič will take place at the plenary session 5, on Wednesday 26th September between 11 a.m. and 1 p.m. At this session panelists will present  practices and support intitiatives at local, national and international levels to sustatin Roma employability and labour market insertion.

Plenary Session Outcomes: Active labour market policies should go beyond mere shortterm reinsertion in the work place for Roma. What is required are proven initiatives that will promote integration in the primary labour market with identified long term support. Participants in the session will discuss ways of interpreting these best practices into sustainable Roma employment policy implementation.

Event is organized by the Croatia’s Governement Office for Human Rights and Rights of National Minorities, and the Council of Europe with Croatia as a chairman.
