Representatives of the Association EPEKA, Soc. Ent., will attend a web conference NECE (Networking European Citizenship Education). The conference NECE 2020 will be livestreamed from Berlin, the capital of the currently presiding EU country Germany.

The conference will focus on the need for civic education in the world of pandemics and ecological risks, as well as the idea of civic education as a public good in the future relaunch of the European Union. Maja Göpel, author of the bestseller “Rethinking Our World” and director of The New Institute, will round off the first day of the conference with a focus on “Rethinking our World – Reconciling Climate Change & Democracy”.

At this conference, civic education will be presented as a pluralistic offer for fair discussions, diversity of perspectives and a learning space for collaboration. There will be a great diversity of European and international organizations, experts, implementers and policy makers in Europe.

The conference will take place from 5 to 7 November 2020.
