The Baron Farm

We are pleased that the epidemiological picture in the country has improved to the point that measures to contain the spread of SARS-CoV-2 are allowing activities to resume. You are invited to join us for the first post-epidemic work-based learning activity, which will take place on Tuesday, 26 May 2020, at the Farm at Baron, Planica 6, Fram.

The Association EPEKA, Soc. Ent., is preparing the first activity aimed at integrating vulnerable groups into the labour market through participation in farm activities, within the framework of the project “Farm – a place of diversity”, funded by the European Fund for Rural Development under sub-measure 16.9. The project is being implemented in cooperation with Kovačnik, Baron and Trankovec farms and the Epeka Youth Cooperative. The project aims to increase the capacity of agricultural holdings to work with vulnerable groups with a view to their social activation and faster reintegration into society and the labour market. We also emphasise the intergenerational component and the educational approaches that enable the transfer of knowledge between all participants and also between educators. Within the activities, you will get to know the work on the farm better and, through an oral evaluation of the activities, you will be able to co-design the educational approach in future activities.

The planned activity will take place from 7 am to 5 pm. Transport to the site will be provided for all interested participants. The meeting point is Koroška 8, 2000 Maribor, at 7 am.

For more information, please contact us by email and on 030 610 606.

The project is funded by the European Agricultural Fund for Rural Development.
