Artificial intelligence (AI) is evolving at an unimaginable rate and is radically changing the way we work, learn, and communicate. However, every technological breakthrough also brings questions about accountability, bias, and safety. At this event, we will open a dialogue on how to harness the potential of AI without compromising fundamental ethical values and human dignity.

  1. Understanding the ethical challenges of AI
  • Algorithm bias and information origin:  How AI models learned from incomplete data can inadvertently reproduce societal biases.
  • Transparency and the “black box”: The difficulty of understanding the decisions made by complex systems.
  • Liability: Who is responsible for a mistake made by an autonomous system?
  1. AI and the impact on youth development
  • Automation vs. Human Potential: How to Reconcile Productivity Gains with the Need to Preserve Jobs and Human Creative Input.
  • The need for digital literacy: How to prepare young and old for life in a world where AI is part of everyday life.
  • Digital blindness: the erosion of young people’s knowledge and the lack of critical treatment of resources.
  1. Privacy and data protection
  • Personal data security: How AI systems collect and process data, and where to draw the line between beneficial personalization and invasive surveillance.
  • Legal frameworks: An overview of current regulations and their role in limiting abuse.
  1. The use of AI and environmental impacts
  • Positive examples: The use of specialized AI in medicine, environmental protection and education.
  • Sustainable development: The operation of AI and the direct burden on the environment at the expense of the wasteful use of artificial intelligence.
