Members of the Epeka Association will attend a workshop on the development of local and regional heating and cooling plans. The ESCALATE guidelines and proposals provide a standardised methodology for European municipalities to develop local heating and cooling plans (LHCPs) in accordance with Article 25 of the Energy Efficiency Directive (EED). They are designed to empower regional energy agencies and local authorities to decarbonise buildings and transition to renewable energy sources.

The workshop is dedicated to capacity building for the preparation of heating and cooling plans that comply with Article 25 (paragraph 6) of the Energy Efficiency Directive (EED). Participants will receive:

  • Methodology review: Presentation of the ESCALATE guidelines and proposals for local heating and cooling plans.
  • Hands-on training: A hands-on exercise using the ESCALATE training platform where you will explore tools and interactive learning resources.
  • Exchange of experiences: Discussion of implementation challenges and the possibility of using ESCALATE resources in your local environment.

The workshop is ideal for representatives of regional energy agencies, municipalities, urban planners and public authorities who want to translate strategic orientations into concrete local action plans.
