The Association EPEKA. Soc. Ent. and Loli Luludi invite you to an event on World Food Day, a day that draws attention worldwide to the importance of healthy, accessible and sustainably produced food and the challenges we face in ensuring a just food system.

World Food Day reminds us that our eating habits not only affect our health, but also the environment, local communities and the quality of life of future generations.

Young volunteers from EPEKA will prepare a short introductory presentation on how better food choices can reduce our environmental impact, improve our well-being and contribute to fairer food chains. We will touch on key problems that young people face today: fast food due to lack of time, disordered eating patterns, the influence of advertising, low food literacy and the growing problem of poor eating habits.

After the introductory part, we will conduct a practical mini-workshop together, where we will learn simple, tasty and affordable ways to prepare healthier meals. We will also talk about the importance of local foods, responsible consumption and reducing food waste.

Join us for a relaxed, educational afternoon and, together with young people, co-create a healthier and more sustainable attitude towards food.

Every change starts with a small step – and with one healthy meal.

Participation is free of charge. Please register in advance at epeka@epeka.si.

The EPEKA youth program is co-financed by: the Youth Office of the Republic of Slovenia, the City of Maribor and Erasmus+.
