On the occasion of World Water Day, we invite you to join us for an event dedicated to reflecting on the importance of water, its responsible use and solutions through which individuals, households and communities can contribute to the protection of this precious resource.

Water is a basic condition for life, yet we often take it for granted. We use it for drinking, cooking, hygiene, food production, maintaining green areas and many everyday activities. At the same time, climate change, droughts, pollution and excessive consumption show that we need to think about water more responsibly.

The event is being prepared together with young people, who will actively participate in preparing content, presenting examples and carrying out activities. They will explore how much water we use in everyday life, where we can save it and how we can rethink its use. EPEKA youth workers will act as facilitators, supporting young people in developing ideas, connecting information and learning together.

Special attention will be given to practical solutions: saving water in households, collecting rainwater, using rainwater for watering, cleaning outdoor surfaces or flushing where appropriate, and understanding the importance of greywater. We will also discuss water treatment and reuse, as well as how thoughtful environmental investments can improve quality of life and reduce environmental pressure.

The content will also be connected to EPEKA’s work in the fields of sustainable living, housing issues and environmental solutions. We will touch on the opportunities that Eco Fund measures offer to households and communities, especially when reflecting on the efficient use of resources, energy renovation and sustainable improvements to living environments.

At the end of the event, young people will prepare a set of simple recommendations for the economical and responsible use of water in everyday life. You are warmly invited to join us in reflecting on how small changes can have a major impact.
