7 – 16 October, 2015
Haderslev, Denmark

The Association EPEKA, Soc. Ent., will participate as a partner organisation in the multilateral youth exchange “Health Academy”, which will take place in Herdeslev, Denmark.

The project will promote healthy lifestyles under the Erasmus+ programme. It will involve 5 young people from each of the participating countries: Romania, Greece, Poland, Slovenia and Denmark.

The main purpose of the youth exchange is to spread awareness on health-related topics and to contribute personally to the project’s results. In the framework of the activity, participants will develop a “cookbook” on healthy eating and healthy lifestyles.

The objectives of the project are:

  • To involve 25 young people coming from 5 different European countries in activities to promote healthy lifestyles.
  • To raise awareness about healthy lifestyles.
  • To develop a cookbook that can be used internationally to promote healthy lifestyles.

The project will involve experts who will conduct workshops, lectures and advise participants on how to disseminate the new information they have acquired on sustainable development and green living. At the end of the project, participants will present their acquired skills and knowledge in an innovative way. Popular social networks are likely to be widely used to spread awareness on health issues.

The Youth Exchange promotes the European YOUTHPASS certificate.

The working language of the exchange is English, but less proficiency in the language is not a barrier to participation, but an incentive for active communication and skills dissemination.

The costs of accommodation, meals and the programme are covered by the activity organiser or the host organisation. The proportion of travel costs reimbursed per participant from Slovenia is determined according to distance, which can be checked here: http://ec.europa.eu/programmes/erasmus-plus/tools/distance_en.htm

The Association EPEKA, Soc. Ent., is supported by the Municipality of Maribor, the Slovenian Youth Office, the EU Erasmus+ Programme and the EU Culture Programme.
