April 9, 16, and 23, 2026,
Online Event

Members of the EPEKA Association will participate in a series of online webinars titled “Democracy at Work: Social Economy actors bringing EU values to citizens” throughout April. This important set of events, part of European efforts to strengthen civil society, explores how social economy actors put European Union values into practice and bring them closer to citizens’ everyday lives. The content of the webinars directly relates to our work at the EPEKA Association, as we strive to develop inclusive governance models that empower youth and vulnerable groups to take a more active role in societal decision-making.

The program is divided into three key sessions, each addressing a specific aspect of democratic functioning:

  • April 9: Social Economy as a driver of competitiveness – A discussion on how social enterprises, with their ethical stance and local roots, increase the resilience of the entire European economy.
  • April 16: Social Economy as a pillar of democracy – An emphasis on innovative leadership methods and employee participation, providing an alternative to traditional hierarchical structures.
  • April 23: Implementing the Social Economy Action Plan – An overview of concrete steps and strategies to support the sector’s development at national levels in the coming years.

You can read more about the details of each session and the speakers at the following link: Social Economy Europe – More Information.

Participating in these webinars will enable us to integrate the latest insights in economic democracy into our projects, further strengthening the impact of our activities on the local community.
