The Association EPEKA, a social enterprise, will remain a member of the prestigious European Roma Institute for Arts and Culture (ERIAC) in 2025.
The EPEKA Association has been a member and supporter of ERIAC since 2021. Membership confirms our commitment to the values of cultural diversity, inclusion, the fight against discrimination and the promotion of Roma art and heritage at the European level. ERIAC brings together individuals and organisations working to empower the Roma community through art, education, research and culture.
Membership in ERIAC allows us to continue connecting with experts, artists, and activists from all over Europe and to co-create programmes that open space for Roma voices, enable the exchange of good practices, and encourage international cooperation.
By participating in ERIAC activities, we will continue to represent Roma art in 2025, contribute to the greater visibility of Roma artists and strive to strengthen cultural dialogue in Slovenia and the wider European area.
The ERIAC was founded with a clear and strong vision: to create a space for contribution, creativity and collaboration, and to recognise the enormous talent and productivity in the Roma artistic and cultural world. It is precisely in the field of arts and culture that, together with Roma, they can actively shape and build an independent institution that reflects their identity, aspirations and creative excellence. Since its inception in 2017, ERIAC has been based on the principle of collective contribution. The founding members initially took on a great deal of responsibility for launching and running the organisation, but their vision has always been to expand the community and invite associate members to join, take advantage of programmes and participate in shared successes.
