Farm – a place of diversity

The first year of implementation of the project Farm – a place of diversity, funded by the European Fund for Rural Development under sub-measure 16.9, is coming to an end.

Although it has been a very unusual year, full of surprises and unexpected obstacles both in everyday life and in the project implementation process, we have successfully completed the first phase of the project. We are implementing the project in cooperation with the Farm at Kovačnik, the Farm at Baron, the Trankovec Farm and the Epeka Youth Cooperative. The project aims to increase the capacity of agricultural holdings to work with vulnerable groups with a view to their social activation and faster reintegration into society and the labour market. We also emphasise the intergenerational component and the educational approaches that enable the transfer of knowledge between all participants and also between educators.

Behind us are 26 hours of training for the partner organisations, which took place in the framework of 4 meetings at the beginning of the year, 18 educational and work activities on three farms, which were visited by a total of 194 participants, and a lot of good memories. During the course of this year’s implementation, we have finalised the methodology that will be developed during the second year of implementation and, in the third year, we will thoroughly analyse the feasibility of translating the project’s solutions into practice in the context of on-farm complementary activities.

Here are some highlights of the activities we have carried out this year:
