Združenje EPEKA, social enterprise, will conclude the project EPEKA – Housing Cooperative for All in September 2024, financed by the Ministry of Economy, Tourism and Sport of the Republic of Slovenia.

As part of the project “EPEKA – Housing Cooperative for All”, we carried out the project of the first private housing cooperative in Slovenia and prepared the plans and documentation for the establishment of 16 housing units for the first pilot private housing cooperative in Slovenia. At the same time, we were the first in Slovenia to establish a legal entity SCE, that is, the European housing cooperative EPEKA, SCE with limited liability.

The project of establishing a rental cooperative housing system in the field of social economy will continue to focus on a social innovation that, in addition to renting out housing units, will carry out numerous activities. These activities aim for a green and digital transition by ensuring a sustainable way of living and incorporating various digital business models. The goal is to increase participation and democracy in community processes, both in the housing cooperative and in life in general.

All preparations for establishing the housing cooperative are carried out as part of the project EPEKA – Housing Cooperative for All, financed by the EU and the Ministry of Economy, Tourism and Sport of the Republic of Slovenia.
