Štefan Simončič, President of the Association EPEKA, Soc. Ent., attended the Info Day – Culture in Maribor, which took place on 8 June at the Vetrinjski dvor in Maribor.

On Wednesday, 8 June 2016, from 10.00 to 14.30, the EU Creative Europe Programme’s Information Day for the CULTURE sub-programme took place at the Vetrinje Palace.

Mateja Lazar and Maša Ekar from the Creative Europe Centre in Slovenia (Motovila Institute) presented the priorities of the Culture sub-programme and the current calls, the call criteria and the application process to potential applicants/partners, and provided them with guidance on how to prepare the call documentation.

Representatives of organisations from the region that have successfully participated in EU Culture Programmes in the past period spoke about their experience with international networking and partnerships, applying for calls for proposals and implementing European projects.

PROGRAMME:

  •   9.30-10.00 Registration of participants
  • 10.00-11.15 Presentation of the current calls Culture: what are cooperation projects, European platforms and networks and how do I apply for a call?
  • 11.15-12.00 Discussion with creators from the region: Why did they decide to apply for European cooperation and funding and how did they avoid the pitfalls along the way?
  • 12.00-13.00 Refreshments: an opportunity for networking or to mix the pleasant with the useful.
  • 13.00-14.30 Individual counselling: for those who want more!

The event is organised by Motovila (CED Slovenia) in cooperation with Vetrinjski dvoro – Narodni dom Maribor.
