On the occasion of Prešeren’s Day, we invite you to an inter-ethnic cultural event at the EPEKA Gallery, where the musical group Jebela Cesta will perform, we will listen to a recital of Prešeren’s poetry, and we will see the opening of the exhibition “Foreignness as a Part of the Natural” by Olga Milić, who was born in Russia but lives and works in Ljubljana.

She studied at the Academy of Fine Arts and Design, majoring in painting (UL Bachelor’s degree) under Professor Herman Gvardijančič, and graduated in 2014 under Professor Serge Kapus. In her work she deals with the relationship between man and nature, the way they coexist spatially. She composes the scenes in her paintings to show the contradictions that cross it. She chooses her motifs from real situations she observes in everyday life, looking for things in which she can hear the duality of the visible. So, in the visible, he looks for the invisible. For example, in an ordinary, banal scene with a caravan, a thought arises about temporality and mobility, but also about the transience of a period of time spent away from one’s home place.

Activity time: 18:00 – 20:30.

Participation is free of charge.
