Landscape painting, at least since the point when in the Western art tradition the landscape was freed from its role of scenery and background, has been one of the key painting motifs that allow the artist to explore the world in which they live and, above all, their own perception of and relationship to that world.

Thus, on the one hand, the motif becomes a tool with which the artist explores the relationship between (contemporary) man and nature and the contrast between culture and nature, while on the other hand, such works of art are primarily a reflection of the artist’s “inner landscape”. The exhibition “The Path that Led to the River” presents Pratneker’s recent works, which can be divided into two basic segments. The first comprises poetic depictions of nature, mainly forests and bodies of water, in which tiny, often rather blurred human silhouettes occasionally appear. The second, represented by works in smaller formats, explores the position of man in what has become his “natural” environment over the centuries – the city. Through the gallery activities we carry out as part of the EPEKA Association, Soc. Ent., we aim to empower you with knowledge in the field of art and culture. With the opening of the exhibition, we will introduce you to landscape painting and encourage you to participate in public events within the local environment, which are a great opportunity to acquire new knowledge and to connect with members of the majority community. We also invite you to help in the preparation and opening of the exhibition by providing technical assistance, help with promotion and transport, and help with the installation of the works.

Activity time: 19.00 – 22.00.

Participation is free of charge.
