Born in 1992, he began his guitar studies at the age of eight at the Izola Music School with professor Boštjan Andrejc.

He continued his guitar studies at the secondary school, the Koper Artistic Gymnasium of Music, with prof. Tanja Brecelj – Vatovec and Mark Feri.

He completed his undergraduate studies in guitar and instrumental pedagogy at the University of Music and Performing Arts in Graz, Austria, with Prof. Paolo Pegorar.

In 2014, the University awarded him the “Würdigungspreis der KUG” honorary prize for all his achievements. This was followed by postgraduate studies in guitar at the Mozarteum University in Salzburg with Professor Eliot Fisk, which he also completed with distinction. He also studied instrumental pedagogy at the Lugano Conservatory in Switzerland with Prof. Lorenzo Micheli.

In the academic year 2015/16 he received a scholarship from the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Slovenia.

His most notable achievements include:

  • 1st Prize at the International Competition ‘Ciutat d’Elx’ 2015 in Spain,
  • 1st Prize at the International Competition ‘José Tomás – Villa de Petrer’ 2014 in Spain (category up to 22 years),
  • Gold Award and 1st Prize at the International Competition ‘José Tomás – Villa de Petrer’ 2014 in Spain (category up to 22 years),
  • 1st Prize at the International Competition ‘José Tomás – Villa de Petrer’ 2014 in Spain (category up to 22 years).
  • 2nd prize at the international competition Guitar open Subotica 2010,
  • gold prize and 1st prize at the national competition TEMSIG 2009 and
  • gold prizes in 2007 and 2008 at the international competition Murski festival of guitar.

He performs regularly at home and abroad, as a soloist and as a member of the guitar duo ZeroDuo with Robert Battin, with whom he shared their study years in Lugano and Salzburg.

He has studied in numerous masterclasses with well-known teachers such as Paolo Pegoraro, Alvaro Pierri, Lorenzo Micheli, Stefano Viola, Adriano Del Sal, Marcin Dylla, Roland Dyens, Marco Socias, Dušan Bogdanović, Pablo Marquez, Matteo Mela and others.

He currently teaches at the Nuremberg Music School in Germany.
