26 – 27 November, 2015
Dolenjske Toplice, Slovenia

Matej Tisaj, member of the Association EPEKA, Soc. Ent., will take part in the international conference “Expanding Horizons – Experiences and Networking for Successful Roma Inclusion”, which will take place on 26-27 November 2015 in Dolenjske Toplice.

The conference is aimed at experts and practitioners, policy makers and representatives of governmental and non-governmental organisations working in different areas of Roma inclusion (education, employment, culture, health, equal opportunities, etc.). Many institutions and associations are already active in the field of Roma inclusion in the different countries and in the European area, and various projects are being implemented, but often without interconnection, which makes it difficult to ensure the sustainable use of project results.

The objectives of the conference are in particular:

  • to highlight and draw attention to the importance of bringing together stakeholders working in the field of Roma inclusion,
  • to contribute to inter-ministerial and inter-institutional networking and cooperation,
  • to encourage the exchange of good practices and the use of the rich materials and resources produced by the different projects.

The conference is organised with the support of the Office of the Republic of Slovenia for Nationalities and will be held under the honourable patronage of the President of the Republic of Slovenia, Borut Pahor.
