MOZAIK – association for Social Inclusion, Soc. Ent., is a humanitarian, voluntary, independent and non-profit association of natural persons united in common interest in the fields of social, education, culture, health and other areas that contribute to the development and quality of life in the local community.
Founded in 2003, the Association has been working since its inception to connect and meet the needs of vulnerable social groups in Pomurje. The activities started with the work integration of people from vulnerable social groups in organic farming and the implementation of the first work training projects. The association is committed to the development of social and intellectual opportunities for vulnerable social groups through the practical implementation of social economy concepts and practices in the Pomurje region. In 2014, they obtained the status of a social enterprise and carry out social entrepreneurship activities with permanent employment of hard-to-employ persons (type B). They operate according to the principles of social entrepreneurship: autonomous initiative, non-profit purpose of establishment, carrying out activities in the public interest, voluntary activity, independence, market orientation, inclusion of volunteer work, equality of membership, participation of stakeholders in management, non-profitability of activity, transparency of operations and public benefit.
