Roma Station

As the Association EPEKA, Soc. Ent., will be re-employing members of the Roma community in the framework of the public works programme, we will organise a special presentation event for this purpose.

We will be joined by Anica Pušnjak, who will present the legal, formal and accounting aspects of the public works programme, Štefan Simončič, President of the Association EPEKA, Soc. Ent., and members of the Roma community who have previously been involved in the programme. The programme will be presented from a general perspective, addressing the rights and obligations of the individual involved and the specific benefits that Roma people enjoy within the programme. At the same time, we will also present the specificities of the public work carried out by the Association EPEKA, Soc. Ent., which includes assistance in education and learning, in the organisation and implementation of leisure activities in the settlements, in the elimination of language barriers, in the establishment of dialogue, in the inclusion of young people and adults in educational programmes, in the integration with the environment, in the management of the housing and infrastructure conditions in the settlements, in the monitoring of (access to) official institutions, in the integration in the local environment, in the promotion of a healthy lifestyle, etc.

The key purpose of the activity is to present in an understandable and practical way the public works within the Association EPEKA, Soc. Ent., in order to find the best candidates within the Roma community and to clearly understand the duties and rights of both the worker and the employer.

Due to the measures taken to limit the spread of SARS-CoV-2 infections, the activity is organised in 2 iterations, which will limit the number of participants in each session. Please contact us before attending to let us know whether you will be attending the first or second iteration.

The first session will take place from 15.00 to 16.15 and the second session from 16.30 to 17.45. Participation is free of charge. The event will be held in accordance with the recommendations of the NIJZ.
