12 December, 2017
Maribor
We cordially invite all visitors to the activities we organise at the VNRC, and of course those who have not yet visited our activities, to take part in the non-formal arts education on 12 December.
Non-formal education through the arts will be one of the most exciting events of the year. Spanish Roma Lela Soto “Sordera”, a young vocalist of Roma roots, is one of the most penetrating and recognisable voices in contemporary flamenco. Born in 1992 in Jerez de la Frontera, she is the youngest heir of the Los Sordera tradition, one of the most important Spanish flamenco families. Her father, Vicente Soto “Sordera”, a flamenco legend, and her mother, Luisa Heredia, passed on to their daughter the essence of flamenco and the love of music. Lela Soto has taken the musical traditions that are a key part of her family into a more avant-garde musical expression where, through her artistic work, she positively influences the preservation of Roma cultural heritage and brings it closer to majority populations around the world through her performances. We invite you to attend the event, contribute to its implementation in your own way and learn something along the way.
Activity time: 19.00 – 23.00.
