The Association EPEKA, a social enterprise, in cooperation with the Loli Luludi Association invites you to participate in a four-week cycle of morning workshops, prepared by young people for young people with the aim of promoting movement, better well-being and creating healthy daily habits.
The workshops will take place every Thursday in October at 07:30 at Gorkega 34 in Maribor. In a pleasant youth environment, you will explore together how even small steps can lead to a more active, healthy and confident life. The program combines knowledge, conversation, practical exercises and exchange of experiences, so it is suitable for everyone who wants to improve their habits and do something good for themselves. Each workshop will last 60 minutes and will include theoretical and practical parts.

Participation in the workshops is free.

Workshop 1: The Importance of Exercise for Youth Health

The introductory workshop will explore why regular exercise is key to youth health. We will look at WHO recommendations and the risk factors of a sedentary lifestyle. Young practitioners will present simple ways to get started, stay motivated, and why 60 minutes of activity a day makes a difference. The workshop includes short active exercises and a discussion about daily habits.

Workshop 2: Overcoming Barriers to Physical Activity

The second workshop will focus on the challenges that prevent young people from exercising regularly – from lack of time to digital addiction. Participants will learn practical ways to incorporate exercise into their day and recognize the role of the environment and family in establishing healthy habits. The workshop includes developing personal strategies and testing quick exercises that you can do anywhere.

Workshop 3: Psychological effects of exercise on mental health

The third workshop connects exercise with mental health. We will explore how regular physical activity reduces stress, anxiety and improves sleep and self-esteem. We will discuss how to recognize mental distress and how exercise can be part of a mindful, healthy routine without the pressure of a perfect body image. The workshop includes relaxation and stretching exercises.

Workshop 4: Practical steps for an active lifestyle

The final workshop is dedicated to planning a personal active regimen. Participants will learn about simple ways to incorporate movement into their daily lives, the use of technology to track progress, and the benefits of group activities. Together, we will create simple weekly routines and try out some exercises that young people can immediately incorporate into their lives.
