Štefan Simončič, President of the Association EPEKA, Soc. Ent., invited architect Luka Murovec to give an informal training and to present the Space Buster project, created by the architectural collective raumlaborberlin.
Visitors to our activities for the Roma community are invited to attend a presentation we are organising in our premises. Space Buster is an inflatable mobile pavilion that acts as a research tool for discovering public spaces in US cities. It contains surprising content that allows people to actively participate. The lecture described in a travelogue style the events that Space Buster hosted in September and October 2017 in Chicago, St. Louis, Cleveland and New York. Luka said, “In collaboration with local art and architecture institutions, non-profit organizations, educational institutions and local communities, we have held a series of events in the public spaces of American cities. By mixing formal events (e.g. workshops, lectures, film screenings) and easily accessible programs (music performances, bars and parties), a special, spontaneous atmosphere is created – all with the aim of enriching the public space.”
Participation is free.
