April, 2021
Trankovec Farm

We are pleased to inform you that we will resume project activities from 16 April 2021, as the measures to contain the spread of SARS-CoV-2 are being relaxed and implementation is possible.

As before, activities will take place in three locations:

  • Trankovec Farm, Drankovec 12, 2222 Jakobski dol,
  • Farm at Baron’s, Planica 6, 2313 Fram,
  • Farm at Kovačnik, Planica 9, 2313 Fram.

The Association EPEKA, Soc. Ent., within the framework of the project “Farm – a place of diversity”, financed by the European Fund for Rural Development under sub-measure 16.9, is preparing the first activity aimed at integrating vulnerable groups into the labour market through participation in farm activities. The first set of activities in the project, which will be carried out in March 2020, will be mainly aimed at familiarising the project team, in particular the agricultural holdings, with the content of the project, and adapting the training methodology to the target groups and skills of the agricultural holdings involved. The project is implemented in cooperation with Kovačnik, Baron and Trankovec farms and the Epeka Youth Cooperative. The project aims to increase the capacity of agricultural holdings to work with vulnerable groups with a view to their social activation and faster reintegration into society and the labour market. We also emphasise the intergenerational component and the educational approaches that enable the transfer of knowledge between all participants and also between the trainers. Within the activities, you will get to know the work on the farm better and, through an oral evaluation of the activities, you will be able to co-design the educational approach in future activities.

Each farm work-education action will last 10 hours and will include lunch. It will be supported by the partners’ staff and will be adapted to the capacity of the participants. The activities are carried out in accordance with the recommendations of the NIJZ. PCT condition must be met in order to participate.
