Roma Station, Maribor
The Association EPEKA, Soc. Ent., is organising a volunteer action “Revitalising the Roma Station” as part of the 9th Day for Change, organised by Slovenian Philanthropy.
We will meet at 11:00 at Preradovičeva 1 in Maribor, where we will work together to beautify the premises of the Roma Station. Our goal will be to redecorate the additional space and to connect the visiting volunteers from Spain. We offer a social space at the Roma Station, where volunteers can play games such as Playstation, billiards, darts, ping pong, etc.
On 7 April, the 9th Day for Change will take place. The large nationwide volunteer action organised by Slovenian Philanthropy is once again bringing together many actors across Slovenia, this year especially with the aim of bringing communities together.
The project is partly funded by the Ministry of Labour, Family, Social Affairs and Equal Opportunities and the European Union through the European Social Fund. The operation is financed under the Operational Programme for the Implementation of the European Cohesion Policy 2014-2020, Priority Axis 9 “Social inclusion and reducing the risk of poverty”, Priority Investment 9.1 “Active inclusion, including the promotion of equal opportunities and active participation, and improving employability”, Specific Objective 9.1.2 “Empowering target groups to move towards the labour market”.
