Members of the EPEKA Association will participate in the second expert webinar of the European SHAPE-EU II project on Tuesday, 17 February 2026, which focuses on innovative financial solutions for housing issues.
Participation in the event is part of our efforts to gain a deeper understanding of social and affordable housing policies, which are key to improving the quality of life for vulnerable groups. Our representatives, alongside international experts, will explore models that go beyond traditional banking pathways and enable greater financial independence for non-governmental organizations and housing cooperatives.
During the meeting, EPEKA members will follow presentations on key topics:
- Developing sustainable business models for housing projects (GNE Finance).
- International best practice examples: case studies from the La Dinamo Foundation and the Tavros project, based on community mobilization and corporate sponsorship.
- Public Sector Loan Facility (PSLF): European Commission mechanisms for supporting social infrastructure.
The knowledge gained will serve the EPEKA team as a basis for further advocacy and project development in the fields of social inclusion and housing justice in Slovenia. We believe that alternative financing sources are crucial for the long-term success of projects addressing the housing distress of young people and the socially disadvantaged.
