In today’s fast-paced life, we often forget about our health. But healthy habits are not just a way to feel better – they are the key to more energy, better concentration and a happier everyday life. That’s why in 2024 we invite all young people who want to do something good for themselves to join us for monthly healthy lifestyle activities!

What do you need? Sports clothes and footwear to make you feel comfortable

Programme of activities for 2024

🔹 January: getting acquainted with yoga

Let’s start the year relaxed! Yoga improves flexibility, strengthens the body and calms the mind. We will learn basic postures and breathing techniques that you can use every day. If you have a yoga mat, please bring it with you!

🔹 February: How to run properly?

Running is a great form of recreation, but only if you do it properly. We will learn how to improve our technique to make running more efficient and injury-free. Don’t forget to wear the right footwear!

🔹 March: hike in the hills of Maribor

Let’s get outdoors! Together we will hike along a beautiful trail in the surroundings of Maribor, breathe in the fresh air and recreate in a fun way. The activity will not be physically strenuous, we recommend a thermos with hot tea, comfortable shoes and bulbous clothes!

🔹 April: Aerobic exercise for strength and endurance

Aerobic exercises are great for your heart and body! Together we will do simple but effective movement exercises to music. Bring your own water bottle!

🔹 May: Relaxation and stress reduction techniques

We will learn how simple relaxation techniques can reduce stress, improve sleep and help you cope with everyday challenges.

🔹 June: beach volleyball

Summer is perfect for outdoor games! We’ll play a friendly game of volleyball together, where the main goal is to have fun and socialise.

🔹 July: Ping-pong tournament

Table tennis is not only fun, but also great for reflexes and coordination. Come to our relaxed tournament and test your skills! Non-experienced, intermediate, very experienced are welcome!

🔹 August: visit the swimming pool

Summer = refreshment! This month we will go to the pool to swim, relax in the water and learn some basic swimming techniques. Don’t forget your swimsuit, towel and sunscreen!

🔹 September: Healthy eating workshop and menu preparation

What to eat for more energy and better well-being? Together we will plan healthy meals and learn how to easily prepare a balanced menu.

🔹 October: exercises for a healthy spine

Sitting for long periods of time affects our body. We will learn exercises to strengthen the spine and correct posture to avoid pain and improve mobility.

🔹 November: Cardio workout and stretching exercises

For heart health and better fitness, we will do a fun cardio workout together and finish with stretching exercises. Please bring sports shoes suitable for indoors.

🔹 December: Group exercise and festive get-together

We’ll finish the year with a light workout and a nice get-together to reminisce about what we’ve learnt and how to move forward in the New Year. Sports shoes and clothes are recommended, and we’ll arrange some (slightly healthier) biscuits.
