The EPEKA. so.p. Association, in collaboration with Loli Luludi, invites you to join us in celebrating World Walking Day, which promotes a simple, accessible and natural way of moving around the world, essential for a healthy life and well-being.

Walking is one of the most effective forms of physical activity that can be incorporated into everyday life — without special equipment, costs, or prior knowledge. However, more and more young people are not physically active enough, which affects their health, sleep, concentration, and general well-being. Among the most common problems that younger generations face are excessive sitting, digital overload, and lack of motivation and healthy habits.

The event is being prepared by young volunteers from EPEKA, who strive to raise awareness among their peers about the importance of regular exercise and accessible forms of physical activity. After a short introduction about the impact of walking on cardiovascular health, reducing stress, and strengthening mental resilience, we will go on a guided walk through Maribor City Park. The pace will be adjusted to everyone, and the main goal is to socialize, have a relaxed conversation, and encourage exercise as a pleasant part of everyday life.

All young people (and young at heart) who want to do something good for themselves, breathe fresh air and connect with their peers in movement are invited.

Let’s move together – step by step towards a healthier life.

Participation is free of charge.

The EPEKA youth program is co-financed by: the Youth Office of the Republic of Slovenia, the City of Maribor and Erasmus+.
