EPEKA, the Scientific and Research Association for Arts, Cultural and Educational Programmes and Technology, a social enterprise, has been selected in the public call for proposals of the Ministry of Education, Science and Sport “Employment in the field of youth work in the youth sector” , co-financed by the Republic of Slovenia (URSM) and the European Union from the European Social Fund.

As part of the implementation of the operation “Youth Employment in the Youth Sector – 2”, a youth worker has been recruited to work with young people, gaining experience during his 9-month placement.

During the implementation of the operation, which falls under period B, the youth worker participated in and received training in the following key works or activities. Receiving and interviewing young people and guiding and encouraging young people in activities in which they show interest or competence. Counselling young people and identifying their hidden potential. Leading group activities and using appropriate non-formal learning methods for group work. Guiding young people through processes of acquiring new skills and competences in areas that are relevant to them personally or linked to improved employment opportunities and social inclusion. Identifying and recording the results of non-formal learning processes and guiding young people through the process of identifying progress in their personal and professional development.

The aim of the operation is to promote and ensure greater employability of the young person from the target group of young people of the call for proposals, so that the youth worker will acquire administrative, pedagogical and social competences, which will increase his/her employability at the end of the operation and contribute to reducing youth unemployment.

After the end of the operation, the youth worker has been employed by the Association EPEKA, Soc. Ent., for at least 1 month.
The investment is co-financed by the Republic of Slovenia and the European Union from the European Social Fund.
