The Association EPEKA, Soc. Ent., invites you to the conference Youthing the Future. The conference will take place on 13 September 2018 from 8.00 a.m. onwards at the Economic Exhibition Centre. Participation is early and early registration is required.

The “Youthing the Future” Joint Closing Conference is for all those who want to contribute to tackling youth issues and finding solutions to the challenges of the future of young people. It will focus on key issues affecting young people, such as employment, non-formal education, active citizenship and youth work.

Together with national and EU representatives, we will seek answers.

  • 8.00-9.00
    Registration of participants
  • 9.00-10.30
    Youth work and our projects! How our projects have responded to the challenges of youth employment and active citizenship.
  • 11.00-12.30
    Train, apply, network!
    We will present innovative programmes, manuals, online tools and networking methods for young jobseekers.
  • 14.00-15.30
    Let’s move forward! Short speeches on the future of youth work and the adoption of the theses on the future of youth work. With us will be; Regis Pradal, author of the international campaign to create a more transparent labour market for young people Transparency at Work, Tita Destovnik, youth vocational expert and representative of the social enterprise Gostilna dela, the Mayor of Ajdovščina and former youth leader and scout Tadej Beočanin and we will listen to the life experience of Jernej Šegatin, who has carved her career path through programmes to raise youth employability and social participation.
  • 16.00-17.30
    Dialogue with citizens: not without young people in the EU
    A discussion with Tibor Navracsics, European Commissioner for Education, Culture, Youth and Sport, on the situation of young people in the EU and the challenges facing the Union that are of particular interest to young people. The discussion is part of a series of public dialogues held by European Commissioners across Europe and led by the European Commission. You can also give your views and answer questions on the future of the EU in the areas of labour, environment, social security, migration, digitalisation and other topics in a Europe-wide public online consultation.
  • 18.00-21.00 Dinner and socialising with the Selotejp Jazz Trio
