1 September 2024 – 31 August 2027
Ljubljana, Slovenia

The Association EPEKA, a social enterprise, in partnership with ŠENT, has launched the Ljubljana SA+ social activation programme.

In September 2024, EPEKA, in cooperation with ŠENT, launched the Ljubljana SA+ project, which is aimed at social activation and improving employment opportunities for vulnerable groups in Ljubljana. The programme is part of the public call for proposals for co-financing social activation projects and is supported by the European Social Fund+ (ESF+).

The project addresses key challenges faced by recipients of social assistance, the long-term unemployed, the temporarily unemployable and inactive people with complex social problems. Through carefully designed activities, we aim to empower and support them to reintegrate into society and the labour market.

The programme will last 36 months, during which time EPEKA and ŠENT will implement:

  • Workshops and trainings for the development of functional competences, social competences, digital skills, social inclusion, etc.
  • Individual work and counselling to support the planning of personal and professional goals.
  • Provision of opportunities for programme participants to gain practical experience for the labour market with selected organisations and employers, work-learning projects.

The programme is based on the long experience of both organisations in the field of social activation and employment of vulnerable groups. We expect to involve 225 people and to ensure that at least 28% of participants will achieve a positive outcome in the form of employment, participation in education or improved social inclusion.

The project is an important step towards greater social inclusion and improved employment opportunities for vulnerable groups in Ljubljana. EPEKA and ŠENT are working together to ensure the successful implementation of the programme and the long-term positive effects for the participants.
