The Association EPEKA, Soc. Ent., has been awarded a national project in the Call for proposals 2016-2018 on Promoting Active Citizenship of Young People for Employment 2016-2018, entitled Youth with fewer opportunities through youth work to employment.

The Call for Proposals promotes innovative forms of youth work with new approaches to tackling youth unemployment, which also have an impact on employment in the youth sector and beyond.

The objective is the sustainable integration of young people into the labour market, especially those who are not in employment, education or training, including young people at risk of social exclusion and young people from marginalised communities, including through the implementation of the Youth Guarantee.

The Association EPEKA, Soc. Ent, will continue its mission of linking youth work, social entrepreneurship and inclusion of the Roma minority by educating and training young people with fewer opportunities (more than 50 % of whom will be members of the Roma ethnic minority) through various forms of non-formal education activities to acquire key learning competences necessary to achieve either employment or an independent social entrepreneurial pathway later on.
