The Association EPEKA, Soc. Ent., has started the implementation of the project “EPEKA Agency, Promotion of Social Entrepreneurship”, financed by the Ministry of Economic Development and Technology and the European Union from the European Regional Development Fund.
The project will primarily target social enterprises and other legal entities wishing to become social enterprises. In addition, of course, an important part of the project is to educate, raise awareness and inform the general public about the importance of social entrepreneurship. We note that many people, especially young people, are not familiar with the concept of social entrepreneurship and that there is a lack of awareness among the general public of the positive impact of social entrepreneurship on social cohesion. The latter also leads to a lower exploitation of the market potential of existing social enterprises.
The project is primarily aimed at promoting social entrepreneurship and social enterprises among the general public and, as a consequence, increasing the market performance of social enterprises in the region and the country. The latter will be achieved through mapping and promotion of social enterprises, assistance in improving presence on social networks, promotion of networking between social enterprises and other entities, assistance in the preparation of strategies, organisation of training events and other activities aimed at social enterprises and entities wishing to become social enterprises.
We invite all social enterprises and those interested in social entrepreneurship to write to us and contribute to creating a better environment for all social enterprises.
